Wonderful tutorial bro. I just got an MPC 4000 and need some help…smile
Very helpful! Thanks!
Thanks again bro! You just opened up a whole new world to me!
what mixer was that u usesd??
where is the command key
@slimmivy OH OK! Do you have that master wordclock on your digi 02? and do
you also use wordclock timing on your MPC instead of MidiTimeCode= 30
frames per sec?
Yo Slim, sorry if this is a dumb question, but why do you take the 4 outs
of phantom from the mixer to the Digi002 as opposed to from the mixer to
the beringer adat converter?
@CardeyaTV You got point, but Studer A820/827 sound quality cant compete to
digital, especially in RAP/RNB/ROCK genres…And when You work with fast
and talented artist that dont need autotune, cut&paste, recording to tape
is definitely fast as working with Pro Tools. I figured out how to connect
all my workstations with MPC3000, now producing is same as in Pro Tools,
but alot better. Thank God for analog sequencers and MIDI. p.s I also have
Pro Tools HD1 rig because i have to,industry standard
Man God gotta bless you brugh, You love teaching and helping people. A
complete stranger. And dudes round my way wouldn’t tell me that simple
sh@#!@ for years. I been trying to figure these simple steps for a couple’a
years. Just now getting time to read the manuals life’s been so busy, and
here you are telling me what I’ve been wanting to know in less than 20
minutes. Unbelievable. Thanks for the jewels big brugh.
Thanks man, it worked out perfect…..
cool vid
@nehemiahent set your count off to (2 bars) so that the mpc has time to
sync up. Also your playback engine should be set low enough to that there
is less latency. You have to have a decent computer to set it very low. I
can set mine as low as 64 samples for my buffer size. Try not to go no
further than 512 samples. if that doesnt work, get rid of the mpc, cause
you can really do everything in protools and get the same sound
Yo slim , keep up the bids, been following you for a minute now, I got a
problem , when I sync the mpc with protools, my first note or sound always
come in late and pics up on the end how can I solve this problem , my first
wave in protools is like chopped in half and the other half is at the end
im recording analog to 2″ tape studer 820 multitrack, and since i cant loop
shit because im recording everything live from start to finish which is old
school and great thing instead of going all digital i would like to know
how to do melody changing between verse and chorus on mpc 4000 with midi
hooked up with keyboards
Do you get any pops or clicks at the beggining or end of your loops? I
do….. MPC5000 to cubase sx
@Dzoni73 im not hating my friend, but please get rid of the 2″ tape. you
are giving yourself a headache. your like 2 decades behind. i work with
bands and rap artist and the digital world is alot faster and alot more
cost efficient (less power bill)
yeah it works amazingly well ….damn i love my mpc4000 too man
yo what u think of pro tools 8.. i wanna get the upgrade i’m using pro
tools 7,4
thanks man just got my mpc 4000 today and this was very helpful !
Hey y did u send the kick out stereo?
Hey man, can I do the same thing with the Triton Pro X with my mpc4k and
PTLE8? You had a video up about that but it did not work for me PTLE kept
playing back in fastforward and everything was set to 95bpm…However, I
was just wonder if this way would work better for me.
Nice!!!! and Professional!!!….for those that dont got such a equipment
you can juse the main out sampler and the mpc mixer at the end you can play
it also with one click(dont give up). I learned a lot THX (english is not
my mother tounge)
Great video bro, keep up the great work
I know you seen that MPC renaissance…I hear its gonna make tracking out a
whole lot easier. And it has vintage MPC sounds and about a 6 gig library
of sounds…I can’t wait to play with it.
