Im an old man with music tech these days. Got into it in 1990 and sort of

Nightmares on Wax?? Are they still going. Used to have a huge rave tune
back in the day called aftermath. Think that was just before the S3000's
days. I used to love home studios. Mixing desks and racks of equipment.
DAWs just dont excite me the same way. I feel getting exited about what you
do when creating anything from a painting to music (whatever the genre) is
a key element to achieving your best. Just noticed, your quite young to be
doing all this "the real" way. Good stuff :)

Yeah man George is still going but he moved out of the UK few years
back..but then no surprize really. Yeah when I got into making music people
still did it this way so this is what i'm used to. My first synth was that
DX-100, a Korg ER1 drum machine, Bass Station keyboard and a bastardised
tape machine that I ripped the erase head from so you could endlesly over
dub...crude but fun

Faster way than shown in video... If you setup the first keygroup and then
create the others, you are saved the work of setting up the envs/filters
for each keygroup, as they get copied from the first keygroup!

When setting envelopes at multi-sampling it's a good idea to use Edit mode
"All". Remember to turn it back to "One" in the SMPL screen though, or it
will mess up your individual Keygroup settings :)

Heres a challenge for you. How about making a little demo tune just on the
3200XL. Nothing else allowed. Only Samples you make and built in FX,
filters etc. (Of course you can sample FX/Filter sweeps like you did in the
good old days) You up for it? Not bothered if the tune is great or not.
Just more into hearing a tune done exclusively on the Akai S3200XL for
nostalgic reasons. Go on fella, make this old school hardware nut from back
in the day who hates all this software crap happy :)
