  2. JazzyFunkaHolic Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

Reminds me of Krush! Straight fire!

  3. JUKE179r Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

That’s a bad MPC60 you got there!!!!! Nice smooth beat.

  4. Dzoni73 Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

@lukegraver multitrack tape recorders are synced with SMPTE code.

  5. Beatzunami Produzioni Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

So you sampled with the S1000 and sequenced with 60 or did you sample the
drums with the 60 ? Tight beat man.

  6. Beatzunami Produzioni Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

    See ? That’s why I should either have an s1000 or s3000XL or OS 3.0, I’m
    stuck with 2.0 !

  9. Michal Patulski Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

I got 2.0 too. those overlapping samples can make you really creative.
especially when in 16 tunes mode. just open your mind and push the
    envelope! here’s an example: watch?v=6UAb1FjGA4Y

Hi! all samples including drum sound from akai s 1000? Individdual outs?
    Thanks

  11. massusm25 Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

Nice to see you rocking these. Old machines ..but the loop makes me wanna
    kill myself ..

  12. Michal Patulski Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

yes, the stereo mix is recorded to the computer and converted to the wav
file. there’s no ITB editing in this track.

  13. breakevensuck Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

Hi, could you please explain to me your set up, and how your using
everything in the rack and reel to reel together? i would like to have the
same sort of set up, you could PM if you prefer, would be really helpful!

  14. Michal Patulski Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

    nah it’s Tascam 22-2

  15. Michal Patulski Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

I wanted to have a good, flexible and cheap 16 bit quality sampler along
with my mpc 60. and that’s what the s1000 is. I got s2000 but it’s pain in
the a** to program. I lost my patience.

  16. Truffel the Phunky Phaqir Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

hell yeah.. this shit is mad dope. gotta love hardware!

  17. Lord Toranaga Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

  19. UnchainTheNight1 Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

I love the dark sound. Very nice.

  20. Michal Patulski Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

@lukegraver Hi lukegraver. nah, this is just a stereo master recorder.
maybe join on gearslutz com and ask there. you’ll probably get more info
than you need:) btw. I bet there’s such a thing like a midi sync in a more
    advanced gear.

  21. reesenelson741 Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

    Not bad at all!

  22. Michal Patulski Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

@ndowney hi. not yet but that’s my next sampler on the list! however i’ve
compared to mpc 60 which is probably very close to s900 and hihats are
obviously better on s1000 but 60 has a more middle around 400hz and low end
around 60hz. s1000 is also deep on low end but i’d say more around
80-100hz. drums from s1000 are tighter and from mpc60 more vinyl-like
diffused (12bit sound). it could be that apart from 12bit character s950
has the best of both worlds. hopefully:)

  23. LocaliLLocano Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

Nice beat. I just got my 1000HD . Gonna midi it up like your setup

  24. Russ Adams Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

@michal23pl Damn dude. That sound like a Dj Muggs beat sick!

  25. Michal Patulski Nov, 17 - 2014 +reply

yes to both. 3.10 has that tho.
