MPC 4000 Advanced Sampling

How To MPC 4000 Advanced Sampling (Z4/Z8)

How to multisample and create your on patches on the MPC 4000. The 5000 has a built in synth but pretty much the 4000 IS a synth. Tru!

I found this webcam vid and added some commentary. It’s the first beat I did on the MPC4000 after 14 years of the MPC2000 damn near exclusively. Like/comment…

Thank you for showing us the information on mpc 4000 ,l own mpc 4000 as
well but i like your style on the machine itself do you have a website
where l can learn or buy the tutorial on mpc4000

  4. MrBlueHaze Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

Well done diggin into the program matrix and the keygroup programs.

  5. GCash76 Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

Thanks for the vid that’s why I’ll never sell my mpc 4k, it’s a beast.

  6. professorquack Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

@housemusicallnitelon on the z4/z8 editing is mostly similar. the 4000 make
multi mixing a breeze though, also the 4k has audition. sad the z4/8 don’t
have that. I posted a z4 video up here but you can’t see the screen.

  7. DJillogick Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

Do you know if this can be done on the 2500?

  8. housemusicallnitelon Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

Great video, thanks for making this 🙂 I am considering buying an Akai
Z4/Z8 – do you know if the editing screens are similar to those displayed
in your video on the 4000?

  9. mrstevedee Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

  15. Diddddumm Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

the 2000xl has a similar feature called the chromatic tuner im quite sure
the 4000 has it to.Its where you sample one note and get the effect of a
keyboard.Unlike the 16 levels you are able to play the notes in a normal
octave. Hooking a midi keyboard makes it better..

  16. peedub Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

    Great Job!

  17. IanCanefire Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

You should really consider making an instructional dvd or video. Because
you explain things well. They have tv shows about ice road truckers and
stuff and no one has put together a show about music making. I would watch
you teaching what you know. I may just have to create that show
…hopefully I would get free gear from the companies. lol nice vid

  18. LuckyDawk Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

Really appreciate your videos, cheers mate!

  22. DJ Relentt Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

what are you sick!? nice vid

  23. DJillogick Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

This is real sampling! This is why dudes like Premier can make crazy tracks
w/16 seconds of sample RAM. Grabin’ one of these shortly…

  24. medicn Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

Yo that was cool but if you used the XFADE feature you would have almost no
modulation on the loop. It really cleans up the start stop points on the
created loops. Nice job on the video. It still sounds phat.

  25. raky00 Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

@professorquack What is the group and album you’re sampling from?

  26. Andrès Lohlé Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

The flexatone really murderded it dude! Awesome… The silence middle of
the bars is dope too… It all kinda reminds me of “Bitch N****z off Dre’s
    2001…

The Ren being pushed back was the reason I copped the 4k. Since then, I’ve
read a lot about the ren bein buggy and crashin a lot. I’m not the most
computer savvy dude so I’m glad I went with the 4k. I’d still get a
Ren/Studio after they get the software more stable. The 4k is the only
thing I’ve used since the 2k that I could honestly recommend. I’ve only
seen/heard good things about the 2500 with jjos. That might be my next
machine. Really appreciate you checkin out the vid. Thanks.

good vid man, nice to see another 4000 user on here. I have the 5 too, pads
and what not are a little better but i wish it had the brains that the 4
has. 4k will always be my main hw piece. look forward to more vids

  33. Nashid77 Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply

mind me remixin one of your SP beats?

  34. OverlorBeats Aug, 3 - 2014 +reply
