I see…yes I know of the digi 002(its the protools LE box right). I am not
sure of the connection between the vs2000 and the digi 002. Are you
suggesting that you would go into the digi 002 digitally from the VS2000
and then midi into the digi 002 from the VS2000. Sounds like it could work.
How does the digi002 connect its midi to the PC, through USB? Definitely
    sounds workable.

Hi. Can you give me some info on how to sync a yamaha ypt-230 to a mpc 2000
and to a Roland VS-1680. I really need your expertise. Email me
@davisjay52@gmail.com or call me at 4803215125. Thank you for your time and
    patience.

Hi Dude, nice Video…on YouTube i cant find many tutorial Videos about the
VS2000, only some Videos about the VS2000. I HAVE ONE QUESTION! Is it
posible to sync the VS2000 with a PC and Cubase? Or ProTools, or
Samplitude? A PC with a 8 Track USB Interface, in order the “Digitech 002
Rack” with the VS2000, to Record 16 Tracks at once in Sync with MidiClock
or MTC, or maybe with Digital? Is that Posible, have you an answer and a
    Solution? I have a VS2000 with a VS8F-3 & a2 Board and all Plugins!

…and belive it or not, i get it to work in the past, with a Boss-864
Compactflash Recorder, with Midi out and MTC, fully in Sync without digital
in out! But thats is a crap config! The Boss must be the MASTER! I Call
with the Roland Support and they tell me, “No Chance to sync two Roland
from a other series, that work ONLY with two devices from same series! So
look, they tell shit!!! It work with Digital…hehehe…really cool Man, i
really really thank you soooooo much…hehe!!!

Hi @Ian, yes like this you say! I have a VS-880 and i never ever get it to
work with my VS-2000, but with your Video and the Digital trick, in reverse
direction, from the Vs880 out to Vs2000 in, NOW HAT WORK, Rec, Play
…fully in Sync, in order with Midi!!! I work for Month, and it will not
work…”NOW IT WORK”!!! Jibbi Jibbi…thats so cool!!! Thank you Brother!!!
And with the Digi, i buy it on Ebay, maybe i get it today…i tell you what
will happen, ok See ya Bro…!

Good stuff, that made sense to me. I needed to see an example of a vs to
other midi devices. Thx for the insight. Peace…Netm8kr

Huh, wow…thats a fast answer…i watch your “Sound Test of the VS2000 &
1880, great Video nice Work! No no, i think you misunderstud that USB
think! I mean, i have a USB Device, the Digi 002 Rack, a 8 Track USB Device
for PC. And my VS2000 ! I want to sync my VS2000 with my Digi 002 to be
able to Rec 16 Tracks at once, “in sync”!!! Also 8 on my VS and 8 on the PC
with the Digi 002 in sync. VS as the Master, when i hit Rec or Play i wish
the PC goes in Rec or Play Position? You think it work?

  9. IanCanefire Jun, 13 - 2014 +reply

Hi Corpse, I have never used a DAW. I am strictly Hardware. I am sure that
if your computer has a midi cable hooked into it (not USB midi) you must be
able to get it to sync. I would imagine that the USB cable on the VS2000
will transfer midi even though that is not what the manual states. ROland
has done this in the past with the MC909’s USB port. So try and see. I have
read that people have gotten the MC909 to at least respond to MMC. Let me
    know what happens.
