You dont have to do that, The MPC 4000 has a mute group, Just go to kg mix
and then click pitch and the mute group will show up in a column, so just
put your hihatt on 1 and your open hihatt on 1 and they will be in the same
mix group.

Just do same sample on two different pad and two different decay time. Same
effect less complicated.
