Sounds like such a small difference through my monitors.. with Spdif the
snare and higher tones sound more under control, less brash.. but could you
tell the difference in a club or mix.. not sure..
SPDIF the kick is more punchy and the snare has more presence
The 2000xl Studio has spdif and the MPC 4000 has a total different engine
than the 1000 and the 2500, it has the same engine their Z series samplers
the Z4 and the Z8. That’s why the changed it from Midi Production Center to
Music Production Center. Never the less good video.
you’re the man
I couldn’t hear any difference. The search for an mpc 4000 spdif card
begins!
good video. i have a 4000 and an ensemble. hah! what sample rate and bit
depth are you working with im curious
SPDIF is more brighter than analog
As an certified audio engineer, I can dig it. Don’t fall for the sale
Help Please : can u tell me how to connect my Mbox 2 to my Digital Tube
Preamp Art Dps ll via SPDIF please ???
Man yo videos is the dopest sh@#! out here man, you have me crack’n up!
Real down to earth dawg, please stay the same…respect.
what do you think about the new mpc line up?…i use the 4000 as well and
do not intend on getting rid of it.
You never hit da MPC’s AD and another major factor is, when you tracked the
beat analog wise, you hit the 003’s AD which added it’s own sound to it.
Look around on the internet and you’ll see audio interfaces have their own
sound Apogee and Avid do not sound alike. I’ve worked and own both, Apogee
has a sound to it and I’m sorry the 003 cannot compare to the Apogee
Ensemble. You won’t real hear the difference in the units, until you start
stacking tracks. The Apogee image will be much better.
Youull notice the difference when panning and adding effects especially.
The spdif will sound just how you made it in the 4k. you need a nice pre
that has analog processors and digital converters then youll be kilin.
yo appreciate the vids for years now. what multi-in interface do you
recommend for tracking mpc 2500? thx. trying to stay in the 200-$400 range
Hey thanks brother, I am using the mpc 5000 adat out into my 003, and it
does sound cleaner. I guess whatever it looses you can put back anyway?
yes this was some good info. From what i heard it sound like the spdif was
actually better sounding.. I have a 2000xl and I can tell it sound better
compared to battery but this is good to know if i get the 4000 peace.
spdif out of your Art to the spdif in on the mbox, make sure your spdif
track shown in you I/O set up.
didn’t you have a 002 back in the day before your 003?
How come you didnt get the ADAT card for the 4k? It gives you 8 digital
outs.
HOW MANY SPIDIF CABLES DO U NEED TO CONNECT THE MPC TO YOUR INTERFACE???
The spdif is tighter, crunchier, just running hotter. The analog joint
sounded a wee bit warmer.
@slimmivy… that psp warmer is no joke…i use it to warm up my
vocals…that plugin is the truth
true
ok .. can i record on 96k with the Mbox 2 via SPDIF ?
ha! ha! ha!haaaa!…My ni**a said “where the blink’n light at right
here….right here..Well that’s Me!” ha! ha! Man you a down to earth dude
homie…people relate to humans that make honest mistakes and learn and
know music, but still can make a mistake and be learning as they teach,
that was too funny, but some real a** sh!#! Rock out.
does the 1880 have cd burner
Man, thats a lot of buttons for two suspended chords!! suspended chords are
neither major or minor, they’re normally just a consonnant sound, so you
can move them all over the place and they’ll still sound cool….try moving
them in fourths or something..or just randomly, or both,
Anyhow, you’ve got two of them going..it’s practically on the edge of being
a musical thought,,right on the cusp..don’t give up!!!
so basicly i just need an vs2400 to record vocals and i can sync my MV to it
without needing a pc or mac?
bro i have the vs 2000 … I’ve done a ton of songs but I’ve never hooked it
up to a computer.. i have a iMac and i hooked it up with the usb but now
what …. I know that there is a program or something to download but i have
not been successful Ive been wanting to mix on my iMac HELP
Good rundown of your gear. I picked up Roland vs-890 for a VERY good price,
nice thing about it isbit comes with 2 built in fx cards which are amazing.
It does 24bit recording also, agree that most people now record into their
daws. I recently got an alesis io dock and ran a test recording on it.
Check it out and give some feedback if you have time. Thanks.
Sorry about the “smpte” comment I though I was in the search bar. Great vid
though!
I have a mpc 2000xl… roland vs 1880…dj set 1200’s
technichs…jv1010…mackie 16 channel mixing board..how would I link all
these componets up to m powered pro tools…please respond…or e-mail me
at jaymusic08205@gmail.com thanx!!!
There are many ways to configure the gear you have. Your question is too
broad. In any case, if you want to figure out mpc to pro-tools google
mpc-tutor. I do not use pro-tools. Join the Akai MPC Forum they are a great
resource. peace
Smpte
Yes. Though I would recommend the vs1824 because it has the cd. Or any of
the bigger ones, vs 2400 and vs2480.
Good stuff Ian.
Alright thnx 😉 cool vids n nice setup!
volume is too low.
Question, i already got an mv8800 am planning 2 a buy a phantom x6 and was
wondering should a vs1880 do the job for mixin mastering beats and vocal +
recording vocals? Pz
Sorry . . . but why do you create such booooooring vids ? Never heard of
cut and paste ? Never heard of keeping people interested by raising and
lowering your voice ? Man . . I am almost asleep by now, and I thought
Nolan Reilly is worse.
What’s up Man.. Hey I’m looking to build my live rig. Thanks for this..
im gonna sub cuz i like live studio shit , but you gotta turn up that mic
or lower the beats … nice set up thou , my studio is more ipad , pc , but
i still have 28 analog mixer channels 6 aux sends , FX Pedals , triton ,
kp3 , MPC1000 , instruments …. so i think im going to get a Mac Mini ,
Logic , and a MOX6 to midi control it and add sounds but the korg PA600
seems dope because you can sample into it and make new sounds
